Cuban-American indie rock artist from Miami, AVTUMNE, is often compared to Dolores O’Riordan (The Cranberries) and Lana Del Ray. Her music is described as a “portal to escape to and reflect with at 3 AM.” She blends been of indie alternative rock with a touch of 90s nostalgia. Known for her powerful voice, poetic lyrics, and catchy melodies, her Galician roots influence her style and love for rock music. As a talented songwriter and performer with a unique sound and style, AVTUMNE is a rising star in the indie rock scene.
I have a thing for redheads, not romantically but definitely as far as my music taste goes. So once I heard her newest single, "Foreign Green Eyes", I fell in love with the acoustic and nostalgic sound. This alternative indie rock single has a great vibe that was inspired by the relationship AVTUMNE had with an international student during her early college years during the DC COVID lockdown. This uncertain comfort of love song is a great addition to my music collection of songs I thoroughly enjoy, and if you are in the Boston area then you might catch me playing it loud in my car.
If you haven’t listened to this song, I highly recommend you do that right after you finish reading this. If you enjoy what you hear, please follow and like her on all streaming and social media platforms. Thank you so much for reading about this rising star in the music industry, and I implore you to continue to read about all the amazing artists on this blog! I hope you have a wonderful day; enjoy your day or night, and please stay safe wherever you are.
