Bromsen ~ “Someone” To Watch Out For This New Year!

The mid-2000s project Bromsen, brought back to life last year, is a 1980s-influenced electro-new wave band making significant waves in the music industry. Recommended to fans of New Order, Depeche Mode, and more, this band should appeal to all audiences, particularly older crowds. Duo members Karlo and Richard re-announced themselves with Merryman (2022) and Read About It (2023), both received well by fans and critics alike. The duo continues bringing more bangers with their newest track, "Someone", released earlier this month.

Someone is a great nod to bands from the late ’70s and ’80s, probably even to The Talking Heads. The indie electronic rock will hit home to the older generation, as well as the nostalgic people of today. The drums provide for a well-paced song that allows for a good mix of heavy synth in the song. The vocals top it off with a little nostalgia in this song, something that Bromsen should be known for at this point.

Bromsen has received great recognition for this single, including feedback from publications like Earmilk, Plastic Magazine, and many more. Earmilk praises the single for its “excellent example of their unique sound,” and Thoughts Words Action says that “Bromsen continues delivering their recognizable sound.” It doesn’t come as a shock to me to see that this single comes with great success following these great words from successful critics in the music industry, and I see more success coming for them with their February 16th debut album, Brothers in Mind.

I highly encourage you to listen to this gem, especially for the older generation whose ears are drawn to electro-rock bands like New Order and The Talking Heads. Please feel free to stream on all your favorite streaming platforms, follow them on all social media that you’re on, and feel free to comment with your thoughts on this track below.
