The album opens with "Friendsgiving", a warm, jazz-infused track that dives into gratitude and the beauty of supportive relationships. The instrumental solos, highlighted by tenor saxophonist Joshua Christian Childress and the keyboard styling of Fictitious Professor, echo this celebratory vibe. Following is "I Want You", which incorporates both R&B and rap by Chris Siders, portraying a story of devotion and loss, gaining even more depth when performed to comfort a friend’s dying father. As the album continues, "Trail of X’s" explores the bittersweet reality of growing apart from people who were once significant, a poignant experience encapsulated by Mrfy Law's emotive vocals and melancholic saxophone lines. "Blindly" then shifts gears with a dreamy, syncopated melody symbolizing the unpredictable nature of attraction. Mrfy's Law delves into vulnerability with "Misunderstood", a soulful song about judgment and self-acceptance, exploring what it means to be seen truly and fully. The penultimate track, "Friday the 13th", juxtaposes upbeat instrumentals by Andres Marquez on drums, Sabrina Rae Pacheco with backing vocals and groovy bass from Gary Thomas and others, with introspective lyrics about self-worth, body image, and breaking free from a toxic relationship. This piece adds complexity by blending upbeat soundscapes with underlying melancholia. Closing the album is "Right Moves", an introspective, stripped-back song about personal growth and navigating life’s uncertainties. As Mrfy's Law's soft vocals ask if she’s on the right path, her restrained arrangement draws listeners to reflect on their own journeys.
